Does the Raw Food Diet Work and Will it work for Anyone?

2009 April 26

There is a groundbreaking new and exciting diet sweeping across America – well, it is really now all over the world!

Of course I am discussion about “the raw food diet”. People are no longer asking how does the raw food diet work, but simply asking how exactly they can use it too, and what the “rules” are!

The main principle of the diet is pretty simple: you should focus on eating Lightly cooked and  nutritious foods. The food we eat always loses its dietetic value when we cook it. Simply heating, cooking, and boiling food will lose i a lot of dietetic value. So if you eat all raw you will get all the nturients and this is much better for you obviously.

The main staples of the diet are fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds. You can drink any untreated fruit juice, unpasteurized milk, tea, and of course just water. Alcohol should also be avoided as it is rich in calories.

The diet will work for you, but only if you do itt as a change in lifestyle and keep it for the long term. If you just try it for a couple of weeks and then go back to your ancient habits then you will place the weight back on.

It’s main criticism is that as you don’t eat meats you miss out on some vital nutrients. For example, if you take it factually and eliminate all meats, egg, and fish from your diet then you will be from the bottom of your heart small of calcium, protein, and iron.

So does the raw food diet work for anyone? It is maybe not the best diet to use for a long time period on it’s own, but if you bring together it with healthy meats like turkey and chicken, then you willlose weight while also improving your general health and energy.

On the other hand if you plot to stay vegetarian then you should eat extra vitamins to make up for the ones you will miss from your diet.
